Two-Wire Tilt Sensor
Addict-Technologies

Addict Technologies presents this sensor which is an inclinometer interfacing the outside world with only two wires. The TW Series offers one open collect output that is angle activated. Depending on the part number, output is activated, when a specific angle is reach. It offers performance comparable to traditional tilt sensor but at a lower cost.

Principle of operation:

The two wires tilt sensor is connected directly on the wire of circuit it is to control. If the measured angle is lower than the sensor threshold, the circuit is opened. If it is measured higher, the circuit is then closed.

Target applications range from detecting hood and trunk opening on vehicles to activation of alarms when something is measured at a given angle. By its small size, the two wires tilt switch can be used almost anywhere.

Sensor features are:
  • Lowest pin count possible.

  • Wide Voltage Range: 4V to 60V.

  • Support up to 1A of continuous current.

  • Many angle threshold available.

  • Small size (52.4mm x 21.6mm x 12.7mm).

Final information will soon be available.
